This works exactly as advertised. One note, however: it ships in two pieces to save space (I assume) and the first step is to insert the handle/back part into the base. Once you insert it, it's there forever (at least in our case.) We were bringing this to the airport and tried to break it down to save space, but the thing wouldn't budge. Not a huge deal, just though I'd mention it.

We purchased this base a s a third for our Babysitter and it works great. It is very convenient to lock the car seat in the base instead of strapping in the car seat each time.

This car seat base is so easy to install! We got this for the grandmother's car, so it would be easy to transport the little one.. There are many options to install, since her car didn't have the hooks behind the seat like ours did, we used the seat belt method and it still works great and is very secure! I would recommend this system to anyone! When our little one gets bigger, we will definitely get the Britax car seat for kiddos over 30 lbs and then the Britax booster!
