The Roundabout 50 is a convertible car seat, which means that it can be used in both rear-facing and forward-facing configurations. Infants are required by law to sit in a rear-facing position until the age of one and until they weigh over 20 pounds. After that, they can sit in a forward-facing car seat. We purchased this car seat for child #3 and we love it. We wish we had found/invested in Britax from the beginning. We love the ease of securing the seat very tightly, and it is such a plush SAFE ride for our baby!

I love this car seat. I have my 9 mo old 23 lb. baby in it, and I plan to keep her rear facing until the 35 lb max, which is something I really liked about this seat. I researched and stressed sooo much about what to get, but I am very glad I chose this. Many people have told me Britax is "cream of the crop." It gives me peace of mind to know I didn't skimp on this important decision. It is extremely well designed. Other reviewers have complained about the buckle being underneath the baby. It is a little awkward, I admit, but the fact that the design makes it so extremely easy to tighten and loosen the straps, it hasn't been an issue. She likes this seat and I love the pistachio design. The fabric is soft and seems easy to clean. I also think there is probably enough padding. She has never seemed uncomfortable, however she's never been in it for more than 1-2 hours. I would buy again.

After having 4 children, this is our 8th car seat. We have tried cheap through expensive car seats, always checking safety, comfort, and ease. This one is by far the best quality for the money. It is a NO FRILLS(which usually means something will break or be harder to clean), ADAPTABLE (which usually means hard to adjust), COMFORTABLE (which usually wears out), and EASY TO USE(which usually means, hard to install). The only negative are the installation directions. They are over written and explained, considering that the seat is super easy to install.

When we bought a new car, I decided that is was time to get an additional car seat and since my daughter was almost at the top harness position on her current seat (Evenflo Titan Elite) I started researching car seats for the best one to buy. However, we did not keep the Roundabout 50 because she was so uncomfortable in it. The second we put her in it, she started screaming and would not stop until she was taken out of the car. She has always done well in her other seat. She always seemed to enjoy riding in the car, not getting upset even when put in multiple times a day. The harness strap also dug into her neck a bit making it red (the straps were adjusted correctly at shoulder height).
Even though we did not keep this seat, I give it four stars for construction and ease of installation. It is also a plus that it is made in the USA!

Bought it at a great deal.... haven't used it yet!!! But got it due to brand and recommendations by other parents. We will see how it works!!
